austriancoderjosch: reproduced. did a quick RE and it turns out, that it uses an unknown texture instruction. I think it should not take too much time to support it, but bed time here .. I try to spend some time tomorrow to play with it. 00:16

razzyAsmadeus: minute: i understand additions, and installing OS. i do not understand why would you need different size of board. reform laptop should have plenty space for upgrades. https://turingpi.com/product/turing-rk1/?attribute_ram=32+GB 319USD. maybe you have bad karma or something.13:24

razzyminute: I will still look if price is reasonable and if somebody is doing better job. from what I am reading, turingpi is using different RK3588 board. with some closed source shit.14:12
minuterazzy: turing pi module has a different connector and pinout. this would require different motherboard design for all our devices. so existing users could not upgrade. we are simplifying some things now like not requiring hdmi adapter, which can lower the price. turing pi uses the nvidia jetson module format. we didn't use it because at least 5 years ago, there was no meaningful open source14:18
minutelinux+gpu driver situation for jetson.14:18
razzyminute: I want some SoC like RK3588 and PFGA on one OS. and I want very few and only wired connections. possibility of FPAA would be nice. So far i think my wants would be better met if I buy some kind of open source cluster.14:33
minuterazzy: ok, please do that, we don't have anything to offer for your needs.14:37
razzyminute: last question. when you were offering FPGA module. was it running open source core out-of-box?14:53
minuterazzy: yes, litex with vexriscv14:55
minuteall of this is documented on our website14:55

minutejosch: argh, what to do? https://source.mnt.re/mntmn/reform-debian-packages/-/jobs/8735#L156922:39
minutelooks like some python issue with missing support for... type annotations (?)22:41
minutejosch: oof i see you have lots of patches for gencontrol.py in build.sh22:46
minutejosch: interestingly on my local machine i get a different error, it complains about missing "rt" key in root_featureset=root_featureset[featureset.name],22:48
minutejosch: so i removed the "rt" feature from the toml in build.sh and locally it proceeds22:49
minutenew: > Patch debian/patches/reform/0001-pm-cpupower-Makefile-Fix-cross-compilation.patch can be reverse-applied22:49
minuteah, a lot of patches need rebasing because of offsets22:51
austriancoderjosch: made some progress - gtk 4.18 with clapper can play a video on my system now22:53
