kop316Hello from my pocket reform running GNOME!04:30
+ RandyK (~RandyK@user/randyk)05:19
joschkop316: _o/07:29
joschwickedshell: i would just put them left and right of the copper center onto the lid07:38
joschthat being said, i thought i had read an article by minute with photos on the forums about antenna placement but i cannot find it07:39
joschand pdfs like https://mntre.com/documentation/pocket-reform-diy-assembly-manual.pdf or the a311d upgrade manual also do *not* show antenna placement o007:39
joschwickedshell: i also had bad luck with my LTE antenna when I pasted it to the lid. I got no signal at all. Wouldn't even register with the network. So no I have it wrapped in tape laying loosely inside the body.07:40
+ chomwitt (~chomwitt@2a02:85f:9ace:3000:1ac0:4dff:fedb:a3f1)07:49
joschminute: building images for amd64 is not hard. I have a POC here: https://source.mnt.re/reform/reform-system-image/-/merge_requests/13307:57
joschi can make it pretty later today, probably by adding an --arch=amd64 option (which defaults to arm64)07:58
joschminute: luckily i have a rk3588 now where emulating amd64 to test this was not the worst07:58
BoostisBetterMinute: a special bitte from please, but please try to get that pocket KB replacement out. I can once again not use the pocket because the KB keeps disconnecting from the system. You can only get it back with a power cycle. 09:28
BoostisBetterminute: I am honestly not sure if it is the USB hub or the sysctrl that are the culprit. 09:28

BoostisBetterminute: I already wrote shop@mntre.com about it by I didn't associate it with my rk upgrade order because I am not sure of the timeline there. 10:16

gordon1gsora: i would, as a general piece of advice, vote against using super-duper high-end fast gaming nvmes, first rk3588 probably won't be able to utilize full potential, secondly in my experience with some ASPM/clkreq features missing (and on my rk3588 rock5b+ for example it supports only L1) it can get quite hot (60°C+) even in idle, tested with WD black11:27

bkeysjosch: Will the Reform rk3588 boot from SD card by default if one is present?19:44
joschbkeys: if u-boot from MNT is on emmc, then u-boot will check the first partition of usb drive, sd-card and emmc in that order for boot.scr or extlinux.conf and use the first one it finds19:48
bkeysNo I have the EDK2 still on here19:48

bkeysI like having a nice EDK2 menu but stuff like hardware accel isn't working19:48
bkeysSo if I had to use uboot and it could get me Fedora I'd be happy with that19:49
bkeysThe thing is unless I could load uboot from SD card, I have to boot something from EDK2 which ACPI doesn't let the kernel see my emmc so I can't flash the emmc19:49
