joschminute: thank you!! <300:26
joschsleepysheep: welcome to irc! :)00:28
sleepysheepThank you :300:32
joschsleepysheep: bremner and gordon1 are driving the effort00:34
joschsleepysheep: now that i read the logs, the pci reset patch seems to have worked and nvme drives came back from the dead. The next problem seems to be phy reset (if i read the channel logs correctly). If you want to see the current status, get out your usb uart adapter and just "try it" and see where it currently breaks.00:35

joschch: okay, i have more words now. I am running the latest "sudo ./bin/reform-mcu-tool list" from git and the output has the version numbers missing for both keyboard and sysctl15:38
joschch: what would you like me to do to help debug this?15:38
minutegordon1: normally 0.5mm16:01
gordon1i see, so 0.2mm thermal pad probobly would be too thin16:02
minutegordon1: i think should be fine, there's lots of compression going on16:03
minutegordon1: you have the simple copper slab heatsink that has a big rcore logo?16:04
gordon1yes16:06
gordon1what is this pink silicone stuff btw?16:06
gordon1is there a datasheet on it, if i may ask?16:06

joschthank you, that's exactly the kind of commit i was looking for :)16:43
joschch: it prints the version now! :D16:44
choh no16:44
joschand a set of empty {}16:45
chmaybe its the int()16:45
joschnope, reverting that commit still shows the version16:46

chand the version on master doesnt work?16:46
joschoh no...16:46
joschnow it does16:46
joschwat?16:46
joschis there some hidden state?16:47

joschmaybe but hard to test if this is not deterministic :/16:48
joschi mean... it works now so... yay? :(16:48
joschch: aha i have an explanation!16:51
joschch: problem is between chair and monitor -- i was using the *installed* reform-mcu-tool by accident16:53

chminute: red led on mobo never turns on. with the charger disconnected/bridged, i get the pocket to boot. otoh the charger IC doesnt visually look bad19:20
