kop316Out of curiousity, I see for the Intel AX210, there is a main and aux antenna port, and unlike the rcore1 chip, we just put an antenna into the aux port. Any insight as to why?04:07

minutedebugging the reform2-keyboard4-fw branch for next (the one with diff-optimized usb reporting), the lost keys happen only when multiple keys are pressed at once.14:58
minuteah, i think i found the erro15:08
minuteerror15:08
minutethe number of pressed keys are not compared, only the content of the pressed-keys-list15:09
minuteuhm, also the memcpy is in the wrong place, what15:10
minuteah no, it's fine15:10
joschminute: oh no you are working on a weekend XD I have more time during the weekend than during the week. Do you have anything on my todo list other than finishing up guid partitioning and efi boot? I also have an updated ls1028a on my list and just refrenshed the script locally.15:12
minutejosch: i think efi would be the most exciting right now :D15:13
minutejosch: btw this is interesting. it works for me on pocket, but i wasn't able to benchmark it yet https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/merge_requests/3843315:15
minutejosch: we should probably benchmark and report our results there to get some attention to it15:15
minutei.e. before/after15:15
minute(hmm nope, that didn't fix the bug)15:20
minutehmmm, maybe the host isn't ready to accept the report, and then we're discarding that report15:23
joschoh i had thoughts mojyack's findings long got merged15:23
joschah no this got merged https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/merge_requests/35678/diffs15:32
minuteok awesome, fixed this issue15:34
minutejosch: yeah, not the blit thing15:34
minutejosch: only the texture color format thing, because it was deemed to make a bigger difference. but the blit thing can still be relevant15:34
joschah now i see it15:36
joschi missed the link behind the "Here" in that post15:36
minutei wonder what a good benchmark could be... AFAIK they didn't mention what they benchmarked15:45
joschminute: i'll leave a small post in the forum15:48
joschi updated this MR with the new patch for easier testing: https://source.mnt.re/reform/reform-debian-packages/-/merge_requests/11715:48
joschoh no wait, mojyack has an account on source.mnt.re i'll write there15:49
minutetesters wanted https://source.mnt.re/reform/reform/-/merge_requests/9715:53
joschHTTP 502: Waiting for GitLab to boot15:56
joschfirst time i see that :D15:56
joschhm no somehow source.mnt.re is stuck16:06
minuteGNOME pro tip: "Notification Configurator" extension to move notifications out of the top center area16:11
minutejosch: damn, bad timing for "testers wanted"16:12
joschyeah, the job is stuck and complains it's missing a runner16:15
minutemaybe there's no runner yet! (only the intel one)16:17
minutei'll assign the arm runner16:18
joschsunsetting the x86 runner soon?16:27
joschah no it's still needed for building the x86 binaries16:27
joschbut nobody complained yet :)16:27
rwa_minute: I will fire up my Reform later and give the keyboard fw a try16:33
- paperManu_ (QUIT: Ping timeout: 264 seconds) (~paperManu@107.159.15.124)16:36

dokminute: the last firmware seems to be working fine17:28

rwa_minute: reg keyboard4-fw test - from a end user perspective everything seems to work as it should18:01
rwa_it sometimes shows the "CIRCLE key for menu." message - didn't do that before18:02
rwa_brightness setting for the keyboard backlight acts weird, after "off" pressing F2 once increases the backlight by 2 steps, sometimes F1 will decrease by 1 step again and sometimes by 2 steps18:10
minuterwa_: the circle message is because it think's the computer is still off18:29
minuterwa_: brightness is prob. just responding/repeating too quickly, will test18:30
minuterwa_: if you hold circle it should "turn on" again18:34
rwa_it showed the message while the system was powered and I was typing here in irc18:35
+ paperManu_ (~paperManu@107.159.15.124)18:48
minuterwa_: i know. but you flashed the firmware and the default state it thinks the computer is in is "off"18:50
minuterwa_: if you do the turn on function on the keyboard, the message should disappear18:50
rwa_ah, got it18:50
minutethe pocket firmware already detects this but i haven't ported that to the "big" fw yet18:51
joschminute: we could cross-compile for x86 on the arm64 box :)18:56
minutejosch: hehe yeah18:57
rwa_ok, CIRCLE message is gone now :)19:04
rwa_i think the hue and saturation keys show the same behaviour as the brightness keys -> sometimes trigger twice20:03
joschminute: cross building works: https://source.mnt.re/reform/reform-debian-packages/-/merge_requests/15220:15
joschminute: tell me if this is just for fun or something which you consider merging :)20:15
