reform3246Is there a way to troubleshoot why my mnt pocket reform's keyboard doesn't always work?08:01
joschreform3246: what are the symptoms?08:02
joschreform3246: are you on the latest firmwares?08:02
reform3246I just ran the upgrade.08:05
reform3246Logged in after shutdown then it wasn'tnaccepting keyboard input.08:06
reform3246I don08:06
reform3246't know much about hardware/firmware coding is there a way to print logs?08:10
joschyou just started using your pocket or has it worked fine before and only now did it stop working?08:10
+ bkeys (~Thunderbi@73.sub-174-229-21.myvzw.com)08:10
joschyou could upload the output of running "sudo reform-check" to a pastebin and then put the link here -- this will show us your firmware version and other information about your system08:10
reform3246It has worked fine for the most part. There's bin some finicky keyboard stuff but turning it on and off again helps08:12
reform3246I'll go try that.08:17

joschminute: i observed (reminded by a recent community forum post) that some people run neofetch forks like hyfetch or fastfetch to share screenshots and system information. Since these tools are usually tiny size-wise, do you think it would make sense to add one of these neofetch forks to the default system image?13:40
joschAnd if yes, do you have an opinion on which one you would like? fastfetch seems to be the most popular. hyfetch has lgbtq+ colors but needs to be configured at first use (though we could ship a default config in /etc/skel)13:40
gordon1josch: i would also highly recommend to add wgetpaste if it is available in the repos13:51
joschgordon1: what does wgetpaste do better than pastebinit?13:55
gordon1josch: oh, pastebinit also works, i just thought there isnt anything so you ended up doing curl thing13:56
gordon1i just think something that handles picking up pastebins without requiring user to think which one to pick is good for debugging13:57
+ paperManu_ (~paperManu@107.159.15.124)13:58
joschgordon1: i recommended curl because i expected there to be a higher chance for curl being installed13:58

cwebberbut if I cat /etc/apt/sources.list I don't see any mnt debian things22:58
cwebberis debian stable "enough" to boot the pocket these days? *should* i be getting anything from the specialized repos?22:59
cwebberI would like to be able to run some of the MNT utils... is the best way to do that from compiling them myself from the git repo?22:59
