bpyeBtw - I think setting brightness to zero is slightly broken on reform with the v2 display, sometimes it'll get stuck at 100% instead. I _think_ what's happening is that the latch is getting engaged with the backlight control pin being high 05:51
bpyeSo instead of getting 0%, you get 100% 05:51
bpyeI guess because the latch change happens quicker than the PWM duty cycle change?05:58
bpyeI've also realised that my NVMe drive seems to really hate when the battery gets low and that ends up causing lockups 06:00

aeliusWell, I've (finally) put my order in for a reform next. As much as the trackball calls to me, it seems like it didn't get a lot of love from reviewers, and otherwise I'd be sad to not have the USBC charging from the Next22:32
aeliusExcited to join in on the fun this march22:33
vagrantci love the trackball more than i thought i would ... although it sometimes gets a bit stuck22:34
vagrantcdidn't think trackball was an option for the reform next?22:34
aeliusIt's not. One of the reasons I was hemming and hawing for months.22:37
vagrantcheh22:38
aeliusI want the trackball, but that chassis is... huge22:38
aeliusThere were a few other factors in the Next's favor, I don't recall atm.22:38
vagrantcACTION nods22:39
aeliusvagrantc: I really couldn't find a lot of info about the trackball in general, though. But from what I read, either it is actually a bit too small and not sensitive enough, or reviewers were unfamiliar with how trackballs work (you're supposed to flick it)22:41
aeliusBut the trackpad having 3 buttons is still very good22:42
aeliusAnd if I figure out how to modify libinput to add trackball emulation to the touchpad, I'll be very happy22:47
